Rafael K. Kapelinski is a London-based film director and script consultant working internationally.

His feature BUTTERFLY KISSES won the Crystal Bear at the International Film Festival in Berlin (2017) and was long-listed for the British Independent Film Award for Directing. Other feature directing credits include THE BALLAD OF PIOTROWSKI, A WOMAN AT NIGHT, and BUDAPEST DIARIES.

Rafael trained at the National Film and Television School (Beaconsfield, UK), The London Film School (London, UK), The Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing (Warsaw, Poland), The University of Washington (Seattle, USA), and Nicholas Copernicus University (Torun, Poland).

He lectures in fiction development and audio-visual storytelling at the London Film School, The Krzysztof Kieslowski Film School in Katowice and The American Film Institute (AFI) in Los Angeles.

Rafael is the founder of The Story Spectrum, an online script consultancy.
